I don't know if rants are appropriate here but I'll do it anyways since this is my forum, I can't ban myself Grin So yeah~

I just woke up from my nap from 2 silent phonecalls with nobody answering. Pissed, I decided that I needed to rant on something to vent it out. And my nearest target at the moment was my friend online, but decided against it since I do plan on keeping friends, but we got onto a topic that just fired my mood back up. "How was the con?" Oh boy... It was great and all but I needed something to be pissed at, hense my target directed to...*points up* Our vendor problem we had~

Not Comic King though, they were the best vendor we have(Well, the only one until the other *beep* vendor came along), I really appreciate them for being so generous. And I would like to apoligize to them for having another vendor there, it was a misunderstanding on our part, a terrible mistake it was.

I was refering to the infamous Entertainment 4 U(right outside of T&T Supermarket). We warned them not to sell bootlegged stuff, but they did it anyways. But that's not really what I'm concerned about, it's the fact that they LIED about their sales(They're donating 10% of their total sales). It's near impossible to end up with so little money when you see pretty much every visitor having at least 1 item from them.

I noticed that aside from DECEIVING us, they were trying to recruit new workers for them in the school. Well, good luck to whoever descides to apply, you'll have one hellova job with THOSE people being your boss. I'm not forbidding you to go to that store, but I was just insisting. I'm not ordering you to spread the word about it, but I am suggesting. Cheating on charities is the worse possible act(sin) one can do, and they said they were catholics, bah to that.

Personally, I'm dislike their attitude, their over eagerness actually end up being pretty rude and scaring people away. The whole family should just stop bothering us repeatingly trying to convince us crap, and grandma shouldn't bruise someone's arm to prove something that's not even true. Next year, we are definetly not allowing them to come back and I suggest other festivals and conventions to do the same also.

Oh wow, I fell happy again~ And yes, Jenny is very vengeful when someone crosses her line. Or is rudely waken from her nap >.>

Yah they where awful. I liked them before but i bought a DVD from them and relized that it was bootlegged. So of coarse i was pissed. Also as Jenny was saying. They had vendors all the time. They where going to give us money and commission for working with them. And he was going to pay us that dya. Of coarse i did not volunteer for that because i was busy finding shift skippers. But Justin told me that later that day they said that they will send you a check a week later. So another strike against them. If you guys do recieve money from them for your work tell me. Please. Also i found them very pushy. What makes me even more mad is that i gave them the benifit of the doubt. I said to Coffin it might be a good idea to have them the day after they phoned and coffin asked me about them. Also did you notice that they ditched that old lady. She was sitting there with the illegeal stuff till after like 9. What did you guys think of them from start to finish?

I was a little surprised at the prices of the Gundam models ($70 for a 1/100 one vs the $40 1/100 English version ones sold elsewhere), and the bootlegs were easy to spot instantly -- most of them said either "region 0" or had some form of Chinese lettering.  The Official US versions, on the other hand, are Region I and have a MUCH higher quality printing and packaging.  Thankfully I didn't buy anything from them.

Everyone that worked for them did get paid, and Mr. Coffin made sure that they were paid a hourly wage instead of that stupid 5% he was offering people. BTW my parents think we should all sign a letter and send it in to the trouble shooter at global to see if we can actaully get what we deserved from them, or at the least give them a bad rep with the public. I for one am up for this, Who else is up with getting those cheating bastards??

I'm quite glad to see that Jenny is pointing this out.? I'm speaking from a position where I had a bad experience with these people as well, and I will never take a step into their store again (this was months back).? Not that this is to start any bad rumours or to give them a bad reputation, but in a way, they earned this on their own.?

Lying and coming close to forcing their costumers to buy their products can scare people away, or in the worse case scenario; leave behind a terrible impression for their customers.? I found it kind of strange that they were there. But despite the fact that sometimes I had to see the guy who works there (loves convinving people to buy stuff), I still had plenty of fun.? But honestly, I do not recommend their business.

I don't know the whole story, but I never go into that store, simply because I know their stuff is bootlegged, and they keep talking to you and showing you products when you're not that interested in them.

By the way, is Comic King coming next year? Were they notified of the mishap?

do you even have the slightest idea how expensive that would be, it sounds like it would be fun but even if we all pool together i don't think we will be able to afford it.

I informed Comic King of the mishap and apologized thoroughly.  They said it was no problem and hopefully they don't show up next year.  Which I'm pretty sure now isn't gonna happen.

An anime store is expensive.  Good luck on that one...cuz it probably won't happen unless you suddenly come into thousands upon thousands of dollars.

How did they deceive us? Did they say they were giving us a set amount at first, but then they changed it? Or they said they weren't coming? Or did they just force themselves upon the festival like they do to their customers?

Ya.... They did decive us. And Sold bootlegged stuff and overpriced and ya. But instead of just ranting on and on about how bad they were, get something done about it. I agree with a previous post to get the troble shooters on it. And not just "them" but all those stores that sell illegal ....for lack of a better term...crap.

And yes it would be very expensive to start up an anime store, but think of the profit from all those who love anime and everything japanese...
