Cosplay, also known as costume play or costume dress up, is a very popular activity which anime lovers participate in during anime conventions. Cosplayers dress up as their favorite anime/manga/video game characters and can participate at the anime convention's Cosplay Contest. Come out and show off your costumes!

Registration:
Registration will take place between 5:30pm ~ 6:30pm at the Cafeteria Stage. Please email Vivi with the Registration Form filled out in full. If you are cosplaying in a group, please only email on registration form under one person's name. (If you are going solo, you do not have to fill out the group member's area). There will be extra forms at the Cafeteria Stage during registration for last minute entries, but we have a limited amount so it is first come first serve.

Cosplay Contest Rules:
Entry Fee: The Cosplay Contest held at this festival requires a $2 sign up fee. If you are performing in a group, each group member still has to pay $2 each. This fee will go towards the prizes for the cosplay winners and the cancer fund.

Time Limit: There is a maximum time limit for your cosplay skit. For a one person skit, it is 1 minute. For a two or more people skit, it is 2 minutes. It is not required to use up all the time for your skit. If you need to make your presentation longer than the time limit, please send me a special request.

Recordings: If you require music/dialogue/sound effects with your skit, please have a CD labeled clearly with your name, preferably have your music on the first track. We do not accept cassette tapes. If you need one of the hosts to read a script, please talk to a host at registration.

What is prohibited:
- no animals, unless it's required to help the disabled
- no electricity, plug ins or extension cords
- no fire
- no inappropriate behavior; remember this is an all ages event so please keep it PG. (eg: no swearing, nudity, offensive acts, rude comments)
- please do not put down other contestants since it takes a lot of courage to go up on stage to perform infront of a crowd. Everyone's trying their best so please give your support!

Microphones: We cannot provide you with a microphone unless you are singing. If you want to make a speech, you can speak loudly, or you can have a recording or get one of the hosts to do it.

Weapons/props: Upon entering the building, all weapons and props will be checked. Real weapons, such as swords, guns, or bladed objects will be confiscated. Fake/toy weapons will be permitted as long as they are inspected before entering the convention. If your fake weapon does not pass inspection, it will be confiscated, however, if you need your weapon for you cosplay skit, please show the hosts your skit before entering the building. If you are seen using your weapon in unorderly conduct, it will be confiscated, even if it has been inspected already. All confiscated weapons and props will be returned upon leaving the festival.

No prizes will be awarded if someone accidentally (or purposefully) injures or kills a judge, host, or contestant. ^_~

No prizes shall be awarded if anyone seduces a judge, host or audience member.
